Timing is Everything

PVD in the morning.

Well that was genius. I managed to install Drupal and start playing with it days before an SQL insertion exploit becomes public knowledge. On the upside, I now know how to manually update Drupal, and I am realizing that I'd like to have my own server so I can start doing more via command line again. It's a little more necessary with Drupal than Wordpress... It was very possible to do the manual update, but it would have been a lot easier via Drush or a simple CLI

Brushing Up

Halfway through yesterday I'd made a good dent in the curriculum.

This weekend I'd planned on digging through views and tweaking my site appearance more, as well as getting the calendar all set up, but I realized I hadn't really worked with php in a few years aside from poking at Wordpress templates, so I decided to jump in and refresh my knowledge from start to finish. I was thrilled to find that I remembered more than I'd forgotten, and am feeling much better about digging through code now.
